Bruno Jacques Pelletier – Guitar

Born in the Hull area (Quebec), Bruno Jacques Pelletier’s passion for the guitar started when he was 8 years old. Having been raised in a family of musicians, he perfected his art by playing on a regular basis in numerous events.

It is while studying with the guitarists Emmanuel Despax and Patrick Roux that he discovers the subtleties of the classical guitar. He will later study with the guitarist Rober Latreille who becomes his mentor in his first recording, “Le romantisme espagnol”. To this day, this recording remains immensely successful on many radio stations specializing in classical music, particularly with Radio-Canada Galaxy, which chose this album as no.1 during the summer of 2006 in the “Top 10″ instrumental category. In 2007, Bruno becomes “Arts Ambassador` for the city of Edmundston (NB), which brings him to play during formal ceremonies; amongst others for the lieutenant-governor”.

A recipient of numerous grants awarded by the NB Arts Board, he has been active in his community through school projects, especially through “ArtsSmarts” whose mandate is to promote art in the classroom. Bruno Jacques Pelletier is also a passionate composer. He has written music for motion pictures as well as sound tracks for other projects. He has received achievement awards and honours for his work as a composer. Bruno composed for the National Film Board of Canada, Rogers Television as well as for the NB Botanical Garden.
