Karin Aurell moved to Canada from her native Sweden in 2001. Since then she has become one of Eastern Canada’s most sought after flutists. She performs regularly with orchestras in the Maritimes, as well as performing in solo and chamber recitals across the region. In Sweden, Karin was a member of the Norrkoping Symphony Orchestra, with which she toured extensively through Europe, and recorded on the BIS and CPO labels Karin has She has performed and recorded with Trio Arkaede (with violinist Isabelle Fournier and pianist Julien Leblanc).
